UPDATE: There is a neighborhood meeting on the noise and traffic issue tomorrow, Thursday, July 31st at 3 pm. It is being held at Ditmas Workspace, 535 E17th street, corner of Ditmas Avenue. Its the professional space in the big gray victorian building, entrance on E17th.

Community Meeting

So, I see people are starting to talk about the issue in the neighborhood. In fact, there is a group of people on Marlborough Rd. that is also organizing to do something about the noise problem.

Right now, I'd like to see a meeting happen among all the people who, so far, are participating in this community project. I am going to propose a meeting at Vox Pop within the next week. So, just to let you know where we are with this project. We are just starting to get the word out. We'd like to get emails from as many people as possible with feedback on the issue. Then we are going to get a petition out and we'll really need a lot of people to sign it. Once we turn that in and know we have a lot of people behind us, we will request a community meeting with local government officials like Marty Markowitz and Yvette Clarke to see if they will take it on.
